They create temporary but solid connections without the use of special tools, glue, or soldering. Tubing is inserted into these fittings and an internal gripping ring holds the connection secure. Push-to-connect fittings are also known as instant fittings or push fittings. Nylon is a general purpose material well suited for transportation of air.
