Buna-N sanitary gaskets, sometimes called Nitrile sanitary gaskets or NBR sanitary gaskets, are resistant to oils, fuels, and greases – plus mild chemicals and water. Buna-N is a tough and durable material with good resistance to abrasion, compression, and tearing. Type 1 sanitary gaskets are the standard choice when it comes to sealing hygienic piping systems. Compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and certified to 3A 18-03 sanitary standard for use in food, beverage and pharmaceutical processing applications with the most stringent of requirements.
