PTFE tubes have the most slippery, low-friction surface of all materials and offer excellent resistance to abrasion and wear. These are also highly resistant to chemicals and extreme temperatures in addition to having excellent electrical insulating properties. Often used to protect and house wires, cords, and cables or can be fabricated into moving parts such as gears, bearings and bushings, and wheels and rollers. PTFE is an abbreviation of Polytetrafluoroethylene and it is commonly known by its trade name Teflon.
