Antistatic Polycarbonate sheets and bars have an antistatic coating that prevents the buildup of static charges and protects sensitive equipment from damage. Polycarbonate is clear and capable of withstanding impact, shocks, and strikes. It exhibits glass like characteristics but are half the weight and has much better impact resistance. Polycarbonate plastic is easy to thermoform and bond with adhesives and solvents. Often fabricated into signs, windows and windshields, light lenses, machine guards, and see-through barriers or shields. Polycarbonate, abbreviated as PC, is commonly known by its trade names Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon.
