Polycarbonate rectangular tubes are clear and capable of withstanding impact, shocks, and strikes. These exhibit glass like characteristics but are half the weight and has much better impact resistance. Often used to protect and house wires, cords, and cables or can be fabricated into containers, tanks, and lenses. Polycarbonate, abbreviated as PC, is commonly known by its trade names Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon.
