XX Garolite sheets and bars have moderate strength and good electrical insulating properties. These are created by layering paper with a phenolic resin, then laminating under heat and pressure. Garolite has excellent strength-to-weight ratio and electrical insulating properties. Commonly used for fabricating parts and electrical components, it has many applications in electronics, aerospace, civil engineering, and medical. Garolite is commonly known as thermoset, laminate, phenolic, or Bakelite.
