G-11 Garolite sheets and bars are the strongest grade of Garolite, can withstand high temperatures, and have excellent electrical insulating properties. These are created by layering glass fabric with a high temperature phenolic resin, then laminating under heat and pressure. Garolite has excellent strength-to-weight ratio and electrical insulating properties. Commonly used for fabricating parts and electrical components, it has many applications in electronics, aerospace, civil engineering, and medical. Garolite is commonly known as thermoset, laminate, phenolic, or Bakelite.
