Self-drilling screws are efficient because they eliminate the need for a pilot hole, tap their own threads, and fasten materials in a single operation. The pan head features a disc with chamfered outer edge and short cylindrical sides that resembles a frying pan. Pan heads protrude above the fastening surface. The phillips & slotted combination drive features both a phillips and slotted drive allowing the operator to use either a Phillips or flat-head screwdriver. Zinc plated steel offers good corrosion resistance in applications not exposed to excessive moisture.
