Hex cap screws feature a washer face underneath the head, a chamfered point, and is installed by turning the head of the bolt into the mating surface. Hex cap screws are commonly used in machine assemblies and construction. The hex head has an external hex head that protrudes above the surface. The external hex drive is designed to be used with a ratchet. Zinc plated steel offers good corrosion resistance in applications not exposed to excessive moisture.
