Spring Energized Seals, also known as spring loaded seals, are an enhanced U-Cup lip seal with a high performance polymer jacket that is reinforced by a spring energizing component. Specifically manufactured for extreme applications where higher cost is offset by less frequent seal changes, repairs and inspections that increase process and equipment up time. Provide exceptional sealing performance at low pressure while withstanding high temperatures and chemicals. Have a sealing lip on both the ID and OD so these can be used for rod or piston sealing. Commonly used in linear, oscillating, and rotary motion applications.
