Carbon Compression Packing
Searching...
Carbon compression packing is braided from carbon fiber yarn and impregnated with graphite, PTFE, or silicone lubricants that reduce friction and aid initial sealing. Carbon fiber provides high strength and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures and resists the oxidizing media that degrade organic packing fibers. Commonly used in high-temperature valves, boiler feed pumps, and rotating equipment in power generation, steel, and chemical processing.
