Aramid Compression Packing
Searching...
Aramid compression packing is braided from para-aramid or meta-aramid yarn, the strongest and most abrasion-resistant fibers used in packing. PTFE and lubricant impregnation reduces friction and protects shafts and sleeves from scoring, so the packing holds a consistent seal under high pressure and in abrasive service. Commonly used in slurry pumps, hydropulpers, mixers, agitators, and extruders in mining, pulp and paper, chemical processing, and wastewater. Graphite-free styles will not discolor pumped fluids.
