A powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) takes contaminated ambient air and filters it of pollutants and pathogens, then delivers the safe, breathable air to the nose and mouth. The system consists of headgear, breathing tube and a battery powered blower that passes air through a HEPA filter for clean consumption.
