Acrylic sheets and bars are clear, strong, and inherently resistant to scratching and abrasion. These exhibit glass like characteristics but are half the weight and has much better impact resistance. Acrylic plastic is easy to machine, thermoform, and bond with adhesives and solvents. Often fabricated into signs, light lenses, point-of-purchase displays, and see-through barriers or shields. Acrylic is also known as Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA) and is commonly known by its trade names Plexiglass, Lucite, and Acrylite.
