Shaker screen bolts, also known as downhole bolts, are similar to carriage bolts but are stronger and always fully threaded. Shaker screen bolts are commonly used to bond wood-to-wood and wood-to-metal. The round head has a domed head, a smaller surface bearing, and protrudes above the fastening surface. Yellow zinc-plated steel offers better corrosion resistance than standard zinc-plated steel and produces a yellow-colored finish.
